The Roads & Bridges Directorate is the largest technical directorate within the Ministry. It oversees all aspects of road infrastructure from initial feasibility studies through to construction and long-term maintenance. The directorate manages over 12,000 km of classified roads.
Responsibilities
- Plan and design national road projects
- Supervise road construction and rehabilitation
- Conduct road condition surveys and asset management
- Manage road maintenance contracts
- Develop road safety standards and guidelines
